Miles is asking “why?” much less often, and instead wants us to classify everything. Like:
“What are these carrots?”
“They are carrot chips, still carrots, just cut different.”
“Oh, what kind of carrot chips?”
“Vegetables? For eating? That you are dipping in your ranch?”
“Oh yeah.” (Pause) “what kind?”
“Boathouse brand carrot chips”
“Yum!”
He also must know what street we are driving on at all times. He can tell you what street many things “live” on. Grandma, the park, the post office, Hacienda. He will forget, and when told where we are going, he’ll ask: “what street does that live on?”
